Cinderella dressed in yella , i mean blue..

We had our TY home-ec fashion show today, it was a lot of fun seeing all the dresses from the different classes. Our group did a dress inspired by Cinderella and i had to wear the dress. I had to walk down between the TYs and Ms.L and Ms.C were the judges. It was a little embarrassing but good fun :) haha. All our hard work on the dress will be judged and we will find out in double home-ec tomorrow who the winner from each class is, hopefully we have a chance.

Christmas is coming :D

Things are begining to feel real christmasy now ! Everyones so cheerpy round this time, its great :D Yesterday there was snoww :o Its so lovely to look at from inside but i hope it doesnt stay for too long! Its too cooooolldd !


Im really looking forward to the run up to Christmas , today weve our cakesale for minicompany. Lets hope we make loads of money! Yummy yummy cakes :)


Tomorrow we're doing our home ec fashion show, its one of my favourite projects weve had to do so far and I hope we've a chance of winnig. I've to wear our dress we made inspired by Cinderella, should be good bant ! :)


Next week weve our Christmas tests, not the most exciting thing to be doing the week before Christmas but i'm sure i'll manage fine. Anyway after the tests we've a nice reward; we're all going bowling , wahoooooooo ! It'll be a nice way to end the last day with the year before Christmas :)

A bit late but here we go..

Im in my second week back since work experience, last week was a busy week so i hadnt much time to post.

I went to St. Patricks primary school in Celbridge. Its a mixed school and the teachers and students were just soo lovely and welcoming :) I hope to be a teacher when I grow up and so this was a great week for me. The little senior infant boys and girls were so easy to get along with and leaving them friday was so tough! There was such great characters in the class and the news they had every morning was the greatest !

Ive been told I'm welcome back whenever and im thinking of dropping back in June for a day were the girls and boys bring in different food and play music from all their different cultures :)

Work Experience sooon :)

Work experience has creeped up fast ! its next week. I am going to St Patricks National school in Celbridge. I will be put in a class of Senior infants and i cannot wait :) I want to be a primary school teacher when I'm older and I'm looking forward to see if it really is for me.
I have already met the principal, shes soo lovely and gave me a tour of the school and told me exactly what i would be doing.
   I will post after my work experience and let you know how i get along :)

Midterm !

Midterm this week :) this Friday Ty's are asked to dress up as the Adams family. I'm not quite sure how I'll do that yet but it should be fun to see everyone's effort.
Over the midterm I have a load of work to be doing , projects are catching up . I have to start a history assignment about the change in government over time in a certain country .. not really looking froward to that , however its not all bad :) our geography projects coming along great ! And its actually Fun ! haha

Visit to Town :)

Yesterday the 19th we had a day trip to dublin , although i was wrecked after it, it was a great day overall :) Firstly we split into our class groups.. then off to the national museum we went :) here we saw the bog bodies , they were quite creepy but intresting and it was sooo coool how they were preserved so well ! then it was to the Yeats exhibition , we had questions we had to answer in the exhibition and so it kept our focus and we learnt more . Lastly before lunch we went to the national library it wasnt very big and so after a while i went to one of the computers and tried looking up my family tree, i failed haha :)
   We got to go for lunch anywhere on grafton street , i went maccy ds :) yum yum !
The last thing we did that day was go to the play, it was great ! Really helped get a clearer understanding of the quite confusing to read to play .

Overall it was an enjoyable day and the dj songs up and back on the bus with Emma, Emer and Sarah really made it :)

CHAMPIONES, CHAMPIONES OLE OLE OLE !!

Yaaaaaaaay! we beat fodla , hahahaha . Go class Banba :) The fun walk was a good buzz . At first our class were finding it hard to get anywhere with our dance and we thought with fodla having all their "stunts" we'd have no chance ! But Mr. Lawlor dressed up in our uniform and our great dance got us the chocolates :)




Well done to the other two classes too , Your dances were AWESOME.. you gooo Dudes ! :)

Another exciting week ahead :)

The competitive side of the TY classes is starting to show ! The fun walk is this week , should be 'fun' :) This year were yellow and were dressing up as Bob the builders, YAY ! Our dance is so gooooood , haha .

Mini Company- MC DONALDS :D aw yeuhh ! were going to Newbridge this time, for this trip we need to know our idea. We have completed most of our surveys and so far it is looking good :) By the end we will hopefully know what the next step for our product .

Projects are starting to pile on, our Geography round the world trip is due in only three weeks , AHH ! So far were doing fairly well.. so hopefully all will work out :) 

Another project is our Home-Ec one , our dress is looking great ! as i am 'the model' for my group i was made try on clothes today along with the hoop, i looked only styling :/ haha .. We got to a quick start , Ms M doesnt seem to like our fast move on and is making us slow down before we start cutting up anymore !

J.C results !

Time was great :) We waited up until lunch to get our results , i was real happy with them. We got a half day and from then on it was a rush to begin to get ready for the night ahead ! :) with the nails and tan ready i head over to my friends to get ready :) the night was good and everyone i was talking to seemed happy with their results :) After three years i have finished my Junior cert, YAY !! :)

Carlingford :)

Up bright and early Monday morning all excited for the two days ahead, we began our journey at 7 :) I had heard from former TY's that the two days would be two of the best in TY ! They were just great :) From the time we got off the bus we were put straight in to groups , my group was good cause we were mixed but still i was with some of my friends :) Our first activity was the best :D i looovee lasers ! from that activity on i didnt think anything could beat it .. and nothing did ! but the nightline and communication break down were two of my favourites too :) we were made follow a rope and hold on to the persons shoulder in front of us and walk through the forest trusting the instructions from the person infront . The communication breakdown was a great laugh we were put in a storage container with three levels and had to find our way out , our team did manage to get out but it took 45 minutes ( some boy had done it in 1 ) and we came back out the way we came in so we failed at that !
The rooms at the start were slightly annoying ! Our group was the only group split up and it was only going to be me and Emma in a room . Myself and Emma went searching for beds and across the hallway Sarah, Rebecca, Ellen, Aoife and Aisling kindly aloud us to stay with them :) After all the rooms wasnt so bad , we had came to Carlingford to bond with others and we did that ! :) They were lovely and so nice to let us stay .
Tuesday we were again woken up early ! I looked just so cherpy and awake going down for breakfast :/ (sarcasm!) Our first activity that morning was rockclimbing and abseiling :) i was terrible at rockclimbing ! I did nearly reach the top but i just couldnt hack it and had to get back down , i was shaking ! Abseiling on the other hand was so much fun! Our last activity was not the most exciting , it was orientering . We were sent up a mountain with a map to find letters !  I was with me bestos tho so it wasnt that bad :) we had little stops along the way , a great chat with Luke and another with John. We eventually had no idea where we were and decided we should just go back to the centre and ask can we go shops :)
We had our last little chat with the instructors and it was time to say good byee :) Mrs. L had her great rap and the two days were over , they were an amazing two days .. I love TY :)

First TY blog !

This is my first time making a blog so im not too sure what im doing ! Its been over a week since i started TY , although we haven't done too much just yet i love it so far ! I was put into class Banba and i am so happy with the girls who are in my class , it should be a great year :) In the first week we were given four projects; Young scientist , geography , home-ec and mini-company. I'm excited to get started on the science project , if we come up with a good enough idea we will be able to show our project at the RDS. I'm not sure how the geography project will go it seems to be alot of work but i'm sure it'll go okay ! The home-ec project seems like lots of fun, we were put in groups of four and have to design a dress. Our mini-company class is alot of fun and we have already decided what our team is doing .. I cant wait too see how we do and how it looks :)
Thursday is a great day , weve just activities in the afternoon. There soo much fun ! We do pilates which is my favourite , charleston dancing with Ms O'R and photgraphy with Rob Love which are both also good crack :)
We are just 4 days away from Carlingford , its going to be soo much fun , I cant wait!  :D
